Select and Speak – Text to Speak

Select and Speak employs iSpeech’s high-quality text-to-speech (TTS) technology to vocalize any text you select in your browser. This tool features an extensive range of iSpeech TTS voices in various languages, with customizable voice and speed settings available on the options page. While Select and Speak currently doesn’t include celebrity or character voices, these can be accessed via the Talkz application. For additional language requests, feel free to contact us.

The available languages in Select and Speak include:

• English (American Male/Female), Spanish (Latin American Male/Female), English (British Male/Female), English (Australian Female), English (Canadian Female), French (France Male/Female), French (Canadian Female), Portuguese (Portugal Female and Brazilian Portuguese Male/Female), Spanish (Castilian Male/Female), German (Male/Female), Italian (Male/Female), Dutch Female, Danish Female, Turkish (Male/Female), Czech Female, Finnish Female, Russian (Male/Female), Swedish Female, Norwegian Female, Hungarian Female, Polish Female, Greek Female, Chinese Female, Korean Female, Japanese Female, and Arabic Male.

Select and Speak is strictly for personal, non-commercial use. Commercial users must contact us at info at iSpeech dot org, or through our contact form, for licensing information.

Usage Instructions:

• Highlight the text you wish to hear.
• Click the Select and Speak icon to begin.
• Press “stop” to halt the audio at any point.

Please note, as a cloud-based TTS service, Select and Speak sends the selected text to iSpeech servers via your internet connection.
