Transition and Technology Once known as KNFB Reader, the newly branded OneStep Reader employs optical character recognition (OCR) technology, a result of early 2000s innovations by the National Federation of the Blind and Raymond Kurzweil. After extensive collaboration, Sensotec took over the development in 2022, continuing to enhance its capabilities.
